French club side Lille and Israeli team Maccabi Haifa’s pre – season game was stopped after Palestinian protesters invaded the pitch to attack players in Austria. The protesters, seen with Turkey’s flag and banners demanding the freedom of Palestine stormed the football pitch to engage in a fight with the Maccabi players on Wednesday, July 23, 2014.

The friendly match was reportedly stopped by the referee in the 86th minute, with Lille winning 2 – 0 Israel is currently engaged in conflict with Hamas, which runs the Gaza Strip....

Supporters were seen with banners demanding the freedom of Palestine....

Former Chelsea player Yossi Benayoun was also spotted in the fight...
